| La Cage - for the win!!! |
[Nov. 9th, 2009|11:48 pm] |
|
We saw La Cage 3 times this last week and met some lovely people outside - not just John, either!! Grace, Gabby, Julie and Iris were very nice. We met one girl who had seen John dozens of times (I didn't get her name but she is young and has brown hair and was wearing a red coat) and I was just wondering who has seen La Cage the most? There were people we talked with that had seen it 10-15 times. Anyone more than 15? I loved seeing it the 3 times. We did 2 from the cabaret tables and one from Row M. No matter where you sit, John was fantastic - so was Simon and the beautiful boy dancers!!! Yum. |

| fic: fresh start |
[Nov. 9th, 2009|09:49 pm] |
Title: Fresh Start Rating: G Length: ~1,300 Spoilers?: Set within Journey's End Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose, with hints of Donna, Martha, Mickey, Jack and Ten Summary: On board the TARDIS, the part-human Doctor gets his first chance to talk to Rose Tyler. Excerpt: The Doctor watched Jack and Rose hug, suddenly acutely aware that he hadn’t hugged Rose yet. He frowned. Jack Harkness hugging Rose Tyler before he did? That couldn't be right.
Author's notes: goldy_dollar posted this tiny background moment over at doctor_rose_fix and wanted someone to fic it. So... I did. And then I made her beta it, so I think I got the last laugh.
The Doctor watched Sarah Jane step through the TARDIS doors, his mouth drawn into a pensive line. |

Title: Go Slowly 7/? Author: Saratoga58 Rating: 12 Disclaimer: Nope... still not mine. A/N:Okay, the beginning of the point I think. I wrote this in a real hurry whilst the muses were with me, and it may be bit sloppy. But until I find a beta who'll slap me on the wrist when I'm naughty then you'll have to put up with my posting so I can watch DT on Graham Norton tonight :D Enjoy!

Children in Need auction for shooting schedule of David Tennant's episode of SJA: here
Don't forget David Tennant is on the Graham Norton Show tonight at 10.35pm on BBC1!
BFI say there are no public tickets going on sale tomorrow for the RSC / David Tennant Hamlet screening on 14/12 as members over-subscribed. That's great for the RSC and the 'Hamlet' production team! Shame for those fans who missed out, though |

| psychic brainwaves from the future are making me sick |
[Nov. 9th, 2009|02:21 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | rejuvenated | ] | Oy. So I found myself up ridiculously early Sunday morning (like, still in the dark and really technically Saturday night Sunday morning) with this song running through my head. A song I hadn't heard/sung in quite awhile. Went to choir that day and lo and behold, it was one of the songs we were doing that week. WEIRD.
Of course, the song was running through my head that morning in bouts of fitful wakefulness as I scrambled back and forth to the bathroom being very, very ill. Ugh. Note to self: stay away from the days-old taco meat in the fridge.
Though in truth, it could've been the MASSIVE MIGRAINE making me all queasy and miserable.
And then in between the bouts of fitful wakefulness were bouts of fitful sleep, during which I dreamed about "Firefly". Bits and pieces of episodes and scenes flitting through my head and I was like "Huh. Haven't thought about that show in awhile. Loved it, though. Jayne Cobb FTW."
Last night I watched "Mad Men", which was brilliant as always. Enjoyed it even with a heated pillow sitting on my head like a ridiculous slug and over 1000mg of ibuprofen in my system still trying to rid myself of the headache. Which wouldn't go away so I could go to sleep. Which made me continue to lay on the couch and flip idly through TV channels. Which landed me on - you guessed it - a little movie called "Serenity". Which I had to watch because: AWESOME, and also because clearly I'd been sent some sort of sign/prognostication about it while I wasn't busy with my head in the toilet bowl wishing for death.
Two odd coincidences adding up to thirty-two hours of illness and very little sleep. Which have now resulted in my staying home from work today, recuperating and cuddling with Scooter and feeling guilty for not going to work. But! Brightside - the migraine finally went away sometime after 3-4am this morning. YAY. Still, mighty big price to pay for being (clearly) psychic. I mean, if I am going to get messages from the future, could it be something really useful like, say, lottery numbers? Or specific dates/times of David Tennant's publicity appearances? GOOD GRIEF.
Now, I might attempt food. |

Summary: Stranded in another universe, the Doctor and Rose must make a new life for themselves. Who will they be? Note: This is actually a completed multi-part fic, rather than a work in progress. We'll be posting every week until the entire fic is up. Heads Up: Although not intended as RPF, the fic contains references to real life and the Doctor Who actors.

Unusual article as it contains quotes from David Tennant's sister: here Karen's comments about him as a little boy conjure up an adorable image! It's also a bit timey-wimey, imo: it goes from "David's filming his final scenes" (April/May?) to "David may have a new Hollywood role" (Aug/Sept?). Surely there were a few months in between, unless he auditioned for something else that we don't know about? |
