My amateur basketball team, after two seasons and continual losses of 20 plus point FINALLY WON A GAME!!!! HUZZAH!!!!! None of us can believe it. We were lost for words. At the end of the game we were all like "so, what do we do now." It was an amazing feeling, which is why I am writing about it here.

Sunday was my 21st Birthday. Hooray!!! It was all very exciting. I had a wonderful breakfast with my closest friends in morning and then dinner with my family, and some family friends, that night. I must admit I was a bit concerned that it might be a bit of a let down after my 2 month adventure overseas, but, I was just being silly. A part from turning 21, I got my full Drivers License, which means that there are now no more restrictions, HOORAY!!!
But, the presents, the presents were and still are awesome. I received the most stunning ruby necklace from my brother (I know...seriously generous) and gorgeous matching earrings that my parents had made especially. They are just the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I am so unbelievably lucky.
From one of my best friends, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) serendipity5367 I got a mug. But not just any old mug, a Cyberman mug that speaks to me, it's awesome. She also gave a Serenity Zippo lighter, engraved. Now, I know that sounds...well, strange, but the thing is we had an obsession with them when we were younger, and she remember. How cool is that?
I also got a beautiful framed photo of me and another good friend. It was a photo that we both loved, but it was kind of blurred. So she turned it black and white and spent a bit of time on Photoshop fixing it, and now it looks amazing. As I said, I am so spoilt, it's just ridiculous.
And, to top it all off, after a delicious meal, I got to finally see the end of Torchwood. Finally! And it was so worth the wait. Absolutely brilliant. I take my hat off to Russell T and John Barrowman for what was possibly 2 of the best hours of television I have EVER seen.
What a week I have had so far. And, I still haven't really got back into life at home. But it has been good to be back and able to catch with all my friends and be spoilt rotten.

| NYC |

Well, I keep saying that I want to get into LJ more, so, I guess now is as good a time as any to start. At the monent I am in NYC with doona_rose, one of the last stops of our 2 month adventure/trip. Although I am looking forward to my own bed and seeing my friends again, I'm also so sad to be going home. It is very hard to explain, but I guess the travelling has become a kinda of new way of life for me. I love it. Heaps. And we have done some seriously awesome stuff. We met John Barrowman, three times. Got photos and autographs to prove it! Seriously, what a totally cool thing to do. AND we got to meet chicklet73 IN PERSON. I mean, I love the internet and e-mailing and msn-ing is cool, but to meet someone in the flesh...wow. And, if it's possible, she was about 1000% cooler in real life. Two and a half days was way way to little time.
Anywho, running out of time, but wuill try to update this a lot more often!!!! |

Well, I thought I should update this, since it has been a long time since I last posted. I have been really busy, exams and the like, but I know that is no excuse, and besides, the two people who are going to read this have a general idea of what is going on in my life anyway.
But I thought I would update today to vent some anger over the recent DW episode, Satan's Pit. The thing is I STILL HAVENT SEEN IT BECAUSE MY COMPUTER IS A PIECE OF SHIT AND CAN'T SEEM TO DO ANYTHING!!!!! Ok, sorry, I will stop shouting. What makes it worse is that everyone seems to be suggesting that it was an awesome episode, and I probably wont get to see it for at least another week or so *dies*.
I swear it is my laptop's point in life to make mine as miserable as possible. What's worse, is I still have exams, even though most of my friends are finished and one of them I just know I am going to fail. I thought that I would have new episodes of DW and lots of DT to keep going, but alas poor Yorick, I have neither.
I am going to curl up into a little ball and cry now... |

| New Doctor Who (some spoilers) |

Hi all,
Just thought I should up date this, as it has been basically a whole week since my last entry. I have been very busy with uni and all the last minute assignments that have been due, so it is nice to have the majority done and out of the way. I saw the second part of Doctor Who this morning, and it wasn't quite what I expected. Although it had some GREAT stuff in it, including a lovely shot of DT's stomach, I reckon they should have been able to make it a little better. But, nonetheless, a great episode. In fact, I thought the whole bit about Mickey staying behind was really sad, and, although he can be a bit frustrating, it was a very nobel thing for him to do, and thus, wuite sad. I reckon the best bit, that I picked up from a single watching was the line about the Doctor already being the genius in the room. BRILLIANT! I love how he's sometimes so arrogant, but he can do it, because he's the Doctor, and it seems so right, as do most things with him!!!!
Anywho, once again (being a Monday) I have to go to work, so I should really get ready for that. Off I go, to the worst job EVER! (At least it is a job that pays semi-decently, so I should really stop complaining.) |

| New Episode |

Hi again,
Had a fairly average day at uni today, stupid lectures and stupid lecturers. I'm so over one of my subjects, it's a core unit, but such a waste of time. Too much work to do in to little time. At least I finished a fairly major essay today. Handed it in and now it's out of the way, which is a bit of a relief.
However, what a wonderful afternoon I've had. The new espisode of Doctor Who...I loved it! One of my good friends, Donna, has been downloading the new episodes for me, (what a champ she is).
I really liked it, and the Tux...*dies*
It was brilliant! I reckon he could wear almost anything and just look FANTASTIC! (perhaps not shiney suits, but that could have looked a lot worse, especially on someone else). Interesting to see him with blue chucks instead of white, but not a huge problem for me. As I said, he can pull off almost everything.
And the Doctor's reaction to Rose being a "dog" was BRILLIANT. He is just too gorgeous. Though, the insinuation that Rose is a dog is not what I was laughing about. I just loved the reaction!!! Unfortunately they had to show a shirtless Mickey. I mean, really there are much better people to show shirtless in the show, besides Mickey! (and I don't mean Rose ;)
It will be very interesting to see how they get out the mess they're in. But I'm sure the Doctor will think of something, he always does. And this now gives me something brilliant to look forward too for next Monday. Light at the end of the tunnel.
Anyway, I better get ready for work. I work at a restaurant, which I rather dislike! Customers can be so horrible, and I reckon I don't get paid nearly enough to make up for that! But I am looking for a new job, so as soon as I find one, I out of there! Hopefully that will be sooner rather than later. |

Hi everyone! This is my first time EVER doing anything like this, so it may take me a while to get the hang of it. Ummmm...not quite sure what to say. I was bullied into this idea by another couple of LJ users, who will remain nameless for now.
So, a little about me. I am from Melbourne, Australia. I am currently studying at Uni and am doing a double degree; Science/Primary Education, and am half way through. So that keeps me busy, and now this will be something else to do, which is good.
Anyway, I think i will leave it at that for now and see how this goes. |
